What began as my graduate school capstone project in 2020 has evolved into an exciting, site-specific performance produced by my eco-theatre company On the Hook. This “eco-feminist” reimagining of Eugene O’Neill’s classic play explores how humankind's domination of the Nature is echoed in today's patriarchal and capitalistic societies. Absolutely overjoyed to be spending six weeks at IPBio Reserva Betary, nestled deep in the Atlantic Rainforest. As an eco-volunteer, I do everything from catching frogs, to monitoring tree growth, to tracking local birds and mammals. (This is a picture of me measuring a tiny tree frog who still had part of his tadpole tail!) This place is a dream.
